At the trilateral talks in the UAE, they will discuss the withdrawal of Ukraine’s Armed Forces from Donbas

At today’s talks in Abu Dhabi involving delegations from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States, the only topic will be the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbas.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

According to Peskov, Russia will be represented at the meeting only by military officials.

“These are all military people, representatives of the Ministry of Defense. This is a working group on security issues. Last night they received instructions from Vladimir Putin. We, of course, do not want to go into details publicly about the provisions being discussed, so I cannot and will not tell you what specific formula is meant by the Anchorage formula. We consider it inappropriate. Russia’s position is well known: the Ukrainian Armed Forces must leave the territory of Donbas. This is a very important condition,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

It is worth noting that, according to a decree by Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine will be represented at these talks not only by the military: the head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov and NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov also traveled to them. The delegation also includes the head of the “Servant of the People” faction Davyd Arakhamia, Office of the President adviser Oleksandr Bezz, Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, head of the GUR Oleh Ivashchenko and his deputy Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Serhii Kyslytsia, Deputy Head of the NSDC Yevhen Ostrianskyi, and Deputy Head of the SBU Oleksandr Poklad.

Recall that Moscow and, as the media wrote, Washington demand that Ukraine withdraw its troops from Donetsk Region. Kyiv rejects the possibility of pulling back its forces.
