In Ukraine, gasoline has begun to rise in price against the backdrop of events in Iran.
This is indicated by monitoring data.
Over the past day, all types of fuel increased on average by about 1 hryvnia per liter.
As a reminder, because of developments in the Middle East, oil prices have jumped sharply and are now trading above $80 per barrel on global exchanges. Before the start of the war in Iran, oil was below $70.
Meanwhile, the price of gas in Europe rose by $200 in a single day, reaching $700 for the first time since January 2023, due to the war in the Middle East.
At the same time, according to Western media, oil prices could rise to $150 per barrel or higher amid escalation around Iran.
As for gas, its price in Europe was up 20% at the opening of yesterday’s trading. Analysts forecast that if shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is halted for at least a month, natural gas prices in Europe could more than double.
Meanwhile, the day before, U.S. President Donald Trump allowed for the possibility that the United States could begin a ground operation in Iran.
