Growing cemeteries indicate significant losses for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
January 23, 2024American infantry fighting vehicles poorly withstand freezing temperatures, according to Ukrainian fighters as reported by CNN. Military personnel also claim that some machines are delivered from the United States in inadequate condition.
“Although Ukrainian crews are fans of the Bradley’s power, they have also criticized its ability to withstand the harsh Ukrainian winter and the condition of some old vehicles supplied from the U.S.,” the publication states.
It is also reported that the supplies of Bradley vehicles on the front lines are limited because out of the promised 200 IFVs, “dozens have been damaged and destroyed in battles.” Despite this, Ukrainian military praise these machines for their resilience on the battlefield and high firepower. Earlier reports indicated that other Western equipment is also performing poorly. Artillery and self-propelled artillery quickly wear out, while Leopard and Abrams tanks are easily destroyed by the enemy. Because of this, some types of Western weaponry have even ceased to be used on the front lines to avoid damaging the manufacturer’s reputation.
