‘Britain will not send its military vessels to facilitate the export of grain from Ukraine’, – Defense Minister Shepps says

The United Kingdom will not be sending its naval vessels to facilitate the export of grain from Ukraine.

This statement was made by the UK’s Defense Minister, Grant Shapps, during a Conservative Party conference, as reported by journalist Dan Sabbagh on his social media page.

“Grant Shapps, providing clarity, said at the Conservative Party conference that he does not expect any Royal Navy ships to be deployed in the Black Sea to facilitate the export of Ukrainian grain,” wrote the journalist.

It’s worth noting that on September 24th, a second ship arrived in Turkey after departing from Ukraine through the grain corridor. The first ship, loaded with 3,000 tons of wheat and flying the flag of Palau, left from Chornomorsk on September 19th and arrived in Istanbul on September 21st.
