In Chernivtsi, a mobilized man jumped out of the first-floor window of the territorial recruitment center and broke his leg.

This information was shared by a local lawyer on social media.

She claims that the man was “illegally detained near his home” and jumped “out of despair.”

The Western Operational Command confirmed the incident but noted that the man did not have his military registration documents with him, “so he was invited” by law enforcement officers to the territorial recruitment center to draw up an administrative report. It was then discovered that the man was liable for military service but had not reported to the recruitment center and was evading service.

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he jumped out of the window to “intentionally injure himself,” and no unlawful actions were allegedly taken against him.
