Poland’s military aid to Ukraine has fallen 15-fold compared to 2022–2023
07.07.2026 13:09The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Budanov, stated that the peak of the conflict with Poland has not yet been reached and that Warsaw is preparing new escalatory steps.
According to him, less than a week remains until July 11 — the anniversary of the Volhynia tragedy — and he links the expected escalation to that date.
“It will definitely come later. There’s no big secret here. We have a little less than a week left until July 11, when the anniversary of the Volhynia tragedy will take place. From the information I have, they are preparing a whole series of what I consider immature escalatory steps. So obviously all of this will continue now,” Budanov said.
Responding to a question about whether Ukraine would accept possible ultimatums from the Polish side, Budanov drew a parallel with Kyiv’s position toward Russia.
“Yes, it’s hard, it’s bad, there’s a lot of blood. But even their ultimatum we did not accept. So why does anyone think we will accept something else, from another side?” — he said, adding that Russia is “a little more powerful than Poland.”
