November 3, 2023On November 1st, in Kyiv, unidentified individuals opened fire on a Range Rover belonging to a local lawyer. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The incident was reported by the Kyiv Police press center.
They note that the incident took place during the day in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. The unknown assailants fired several shots at the vehicle.
Law enforcement officers found a bullet and three 9mm cartridge cases at the scene of the incident. The front windshield of the car had a total of six bullet holes, and a dent on the hood was also documented. Physical evidence will undergo expert examination.
Preliminarily, the police have determined that two men may be involved in the crime. After the attack, they exited through an arch onto Turgenevska Street and disappeared in an unknown direction.
The investigation will determine the cause of the shooting and all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A criminal case has been opened under the article “Hooliganism committed with the use of weapons.” This offense carries a maximum sentence of up to seven years.
According to Ukrainian media reports, the victim is the Kyiv lawyer Andrii Tsyhankov. Media sources have provided additional details.
“The incident occurred on November 1st at around 9:30 PM. Four shots were fired from a 9mm firearm. Mr. Tsyhankov himself claims that he doesn’t personally suspect anyone of committing the crime, and he had not received any threats from anyone in advance,” said a source.
