Fugitive Vice Prime Minister Chernyshov returned to Ukraine and spoke of a “smear campaign”
22.06.2025 - 16:30Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that changes are needed in the operations of Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) so that mobilization “does not come as a shock to people.”
Syrskyi made the remarks while speaking to journalists.
According to him, inspections are already being conducted at TRCs, and commissions are working to redeploy some of the staff to the front lines.
“All of our Territorial Recruitment Centers must change. This is a task set by the president. Inspections are underway at the TRCs, and the work of commissions continues — to send those who have not fought to the front lines, and replace them with wounded soldiers who have already served,”the commander-in-chief said.
He added that TRCs must perform their duties properly and avoid “disgraceful incidents” that occasionally occur. He also stressed that all corrupt or law-breaking individuals involved in the mobilization process must be identified.
“Of course, the main source of replenishing our army remains continued mobilization. It’s an unpopular measure, but in wartime, no country has avoided it. At the same time, I insist that mobilization must be conducted with strict adherence to legality and transparency at the TRCs. Mobilization should not be a shock for people,” Syrskyi concluded.
