Canada is ready to deploy troops to Ukraine under certain conditions

Canada is open to sending troops to Ukraine but not for engaging in combat operations. This was stated by Bill Blair, the Minister of Defense of Canada. This is reported by Toronto Star.

At the same time, Canadian military personnel could assist in training Ukrainian servicemen and operate in a non-combat role against Russia away from the front lines. Whether they are already operating in this capacity is unknown, as recently, Schultz admitted to the significant role of British troops already operating in Ukraine. Canadians could undertake similar actions, but this remains undisclosed.

It is worth noting that discussions about NATO troops’ involvement in the Ukrainian conflict began after Macron’s initiative. The words of the French president alarmed the global community, as his proposal to send troops to Ukraine would effectively signify the start of a global conflict. However, almost all NATO countries immediately refuted such plans and added that they would not engage in warfare in Ukraine.
