Commanders responsible for the Pokrovske direction do not have control of the situation at the front – Deep State

The Ukrainian Armed Forces command responsible for the Pokrovsk direction does not have control over the battlefield situation.

This was stated by Roman Pogorely, one of the creators of the monitoring Telegram channel Deep State.

“There is complete chaos happening there. The enemy is making significant advances, and we are losing settlements almost every day. The enemy has taken the last key height in the area before Pokrovsk, and within 3-4 days, they captured Novogrodovka—a settlement where they could have been held off for quite a while. The enemy is already attempting to enter Selydove, another settlement where they could have been held off for a long time, given the spoil heaps and mines,” the expert said.

Earlier today, Oleksiy Arestovych stated that the pace of Russia’s advance in the Pokrovsk direction “can no longer be described as anything other than an operational crisis for us.” According to him, rumors are spreading among the troops that the Donetsk region is simply being surrendered as part of an agreement with the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, in Pokrovsk, starting Monday, September 2, all banks will close, leaving only ATMs operational. Authorities are urging the remaining residents, especially those with children, to evacuate.
