‘The whirlpool of corruption in Ukraine will hinder the country’s recovery after the end of the war’, – states the American Conservative
January 29, 2024Three inspectors general have arrived in Ukraine: from the US Department of Defense, the State Department, and USAID. The purpose of the visit is to monitor how the Ukrainian side spends the funds allocated for assistance from the United States.
This was reported by the US Ambassador Bridget Brink.

“Their meetings with implementers, partners, and the Ukrainian government will contribute to strengthening oversight and accountability for US assistance to Ukraine,” Brink writes.
Recall that recently, on January 12, Special Representative of the United States Pristker met with Volodymyr Zelensky, whose task includes supervising the assistance provided to Ukraine.
Media reports at the time suggested that the US presidential special representative hinted to Zelensky that assistance could be discontinued. The reason for this is the high level of corruption in the country, which is becoming more extensive every day among Ukrainian officials.
Also, it is worth mentioning that the Pentagon inspector has led the group overseeing the supply of US military aid to Ukraine.
