The latest report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States notes that the rise in traumatic injuries and strain on the healthcare system amid military actions is leading to an increase in cases of infections resistant to multiple drugs not only in Ukraine but also in neighboring countries.

“Resistance to antimicrobial drugs is considered one of the main global health threats. It causes more deaths worldwide than HIV or malaria,” the report highlights.
