Daniel Davis: Zelensky will suffer a heavy defeat if he does not accept Russia’s conditions

Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis has warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of a possible heavy defeat should he refuse Russia’s conditions for settling the conflict.

He published his statement on the social network X.

The comment was prompted by a statement from Zelensky made after his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in New York.

“The longer we cling to the delusion that these pro-Ukraine conditions are possible, the more Ukrainian deaths and territorial losses there will be, and our defeat will be even worse,” Davis wrote.

In his assessment, Ukraine, the United States, and Europe do not have sufficient strength to force Russia to accept their terms for ending the conflict.

Davis had previously spoken about Ukraine’s situation, noting that the country faces serious difficulties and is struggling to counter Russian forces.
