10.10.2024 16:38The demobilization of military personnel aged 18-25 is impossible without their replacement.
This statement was made by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
“We cannot simply demobilize them; we need to understand who will take their place. Because simply demobilizing them would lead to the collapse of certain sections of the front,” Stefanchuk said.
It is worth noting that a law was recently passed prohibiting the mobilization of men under the age of 25. However, the document has not yet been signed by the president and has not come into effect.
Earlier, the Ground Forces issued a directive prohibiting territorial recruitment centers from forcibly mobilizing men younger than 25 and older than 49. This ban has now been confirmed at the legislative level.
Additionally, it was recently reported that the Secretary of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Roman Kostenko, stated that the Ukrainian authorities may have to lower the mobilization age if a new wave of mobilization is announced in Russia.
