02.12.2025 06:02Denmark is awaiting answers from Ukraine regarding the arms company Fire Point, which has become embroiled in a corruption scandal.
This was stated by the country’s Defense Minister, Troels Lund Poulsen.
According to him, there is no link to Denmark in this matter.
“There is no (corruption-related) connection with the plant in Denmark, since during its operation Danish legislation must be observed. Therefore, as far as Fire Point’s establishment in Denmark is concerned, I have no concerns. But of course I am worried about the current discussion of the corruption scandal in Ukraine,” Lund Poulsen said.
He also added that Denmark “is doing everything possible to track the flow of funds the country provides.”
Earlier, media reported that the arms company Fire Point, which supplies the Ukrainian Armed Forces with drones and Flamingo missiles, is linked to people involved in the case of businessman Timur Mindich.
According to Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Fire Point co-owner Denys Fursenko may have been involved in financial operations connected with the laundering of illicit funds in schemes around Energoatom. In particular, in conversations recorded by NABU, Fursenko complains that it is difficult for him to carry 1.6 million U.S. dollars in cash in his hands.
