Deputies of the presidential party have been prohibited from commenting on the draft law on mobilization

Members of the ‘Servant of the People’ faction have received recommendations regarding the necessity to avoid commenting on the introduced draft law on mobilization in the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by the Ukrainian Pravda publication.

According to the media reports, the faction emphasized the need to adhere to a unified line with the president, considering the ‘sensitivity of the issue.’ Therefore stating that ‘mobilization should be communicated with the public by the military, from whom this request originates.’ The faction is advised to refrain from comments on this matter in the media, on an international level, on social media and in personal communications.

It’s worth noting that referencing the military in case of comments on the draft law could be an attempt to shift the blame for Ukraine’s potential future defeat onto them. This is particularly crucial for Zelensky against the backdrop of his competition with General Zaluzhny. The incumbent president fears that if the upcoming elections happen, he will lose to the popular commander-in-chief.
