A Ukrainian consulate official was found to be illegally facilitating the transportation of migrants from high-terrorism risk Asian countries to Europe, disguising them as Ukrainian students.
This information was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The woman worked as the second secretary for consular and administrative affairs at the Ukrainian embassy in one of the Central Asian countries. For a fee of $3,000, she helped migrants leave a high-terrorism risk country for the European Union by providing them with documentation as Ukrainian university students.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, she managed to transport approximately 900 individuals from high-terrorism risk countries in this manner. She used the funds earned to purchase luxury real estate in the center of Kiev and Odessa.
