December 12, 2023Among the southern regions, the Odessa region stands out for having the highest number of business closures, as reported by the OpenDataBot service.
In Odessa, 465 companies have ceased operations, whereas in the Nikolaev region, this number stands at 155, and in Kherson, it’s 57. Across Ukraine, a total of 6,482 companies began the closure process from March 2022 to November 2023.
The closures vary across different sectors with public organizations leading at 1,068 closures. Wholesale trade enterprises follow closely behind at 826 closures, while the agricultural sector recorded 492 closures. There are notably fewer closures in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region and partially occupied areas of Kherson, with 73 and 57 closures, respectively.
