October 13, 2023New details of corruption scandals related to the former head of the Odessa Regional Recruitment Center, Evgeniy Borisov, have surfaced on the internet.
According to materials from legal proceedings, the scandalous military commissioner Borisov and his family are apparently enthusiasts of luxury cars. Just a day before the start of the war, Borisov decided to purchase a Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 for 2 million UAH, not for himself but for his spouse.
After this purchase, there was a significant pause in car acquisitions due to Borisov being shot in the legs, resulting in his year-long medical treatment in 2022. However, on November 5, 2022, he sent his mother-in-law to acquire a brand new Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 3982, costing 8.4 million UAH. Just five days later, this car was “resold” to Borisov’s wife, but at a price of 4.9 million UAH, effectively laundering 3.5 million UAH.
Having stocked up on luxury cars, Borisov then turned his attention to real estate. He decided to buy a house with a total area of 857 square meters on a land plot of 1530 square meters in the city of Marbella, in the province of Malaga, Kingdom of Spain, at SL Rossini. 151 – Ur Sierra Blanca (24P) N2 – 151, Marbella, Malaga. The purchase price was 4,070,000 euros, and it was registered in Borisov’s mother’s name on December 15, 2022.
On February 15, 2023, the military commissioner’s wife acquired an office space in the same Marbella area, covering 223 square meters at the address BV PRINCIPE ALFONSO HOHENLOH Es:8 Pl:01 Pt:36 EDF ARIES MARBELLA 29602-MALAGA, for the “modest” sum of 737,000 euros.
Furthermore, on September 6, 2022, Borisov’s mother-in-law purchased a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 150 at a reduced price of 48,000 UAH, even though the market value of this vehicle is approximately 2 million UAH. On January 26, 2023, Borisov’s mother acquired a Mercedes-Benz EQV 300 for 73,000 euros.
Then, on April 25, 2023, Borisov’s mother-in-law once again purchased a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 150 for 2 million UAH, which was promptly sold on the same day, and instead, a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER was acquired for 3 million UAH.
According to the investigation’s calculations, the Borisov family acquired real estate and vehicles totaling 203,804,000 UAH between January 1, 2021, and May 5, 2023.
