Russia will respond positively to Turkey’s request for mediation on Ukraine — experts
31.08.2026 20:07Education ombudsman Nadiia Leshchyk has called on school administrators to cancel mass celebrations on September 1, citing the threat of shelling.
She published the corresponding appeal on Facebook.
According to Leshchyk, large gatherings of children in open areas create additional risks in the event of an air raid alert.
“Given the situation in the country and the real risks associated with possible shelling, I want to note: holding mass events, including school assemblies, on September 1 and during the educational process is dangerous. Large gatherings of people create additional risks, because in the event of an air raid alert, ensuring the quick and safe evacuation of a large number of children in an open area is extremely difficult. I urge school administrators to refrain from holding mass celebrations at educational institutions!” — Leshchyk stressed.
As previously reported, against the backdrop of constant strikes, the Kyiv City State Administration announced that schools in the capital would change their format of instruction.
