Employees of the telethon, which is watched by fewer and fewer Ukrainians, have been exempted from mobilization

Employees of the unified telethon have been exempted from mobilization.

This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, which confirmed to television channels participating in the telethon the status of being “critically important for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population during a special period.”

As reported by “Interfax-Ukraine,” the list of such facilities includes the following television channels: My Ukraine, 1+1, ICTV, Inter, Rada, Suspilne. Additionally, the following have been added: BBC, Ukrinform, Novy Kanal, Starline Media, STB, Khmarochos Media, UNIAN TV, Deutsche Welle, TET, NBM, National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

Acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandeev stated in January that 50% of conscripts had been reserved for cultural and information institutions related to the strategic direction. As of February, there were 143 such enterprises.

Recall that it was previously reported that the unified telethon in Ukraine could be shut down if it did not regain the trust of citizens. Additionally, a poll showed that for the first time, there were fewer people trusting the telethon than distrusting it.
