Zelensky: the diplomatic window must be used before next winter
01.06.2026 18:02Negotiators from EU member states have agreed on new rules aimed at accelerating and increasing the number of deportations, including by allowing failed asylum seekers to be sent to centers outside the bloc.
This was reported by Politico, as cited by Yevropeyska Pravda.
The decision is part of sweeping reforms the EU is implementing to tighten control over asylum seekers and support the countries receiving the largest numbers of external migrants.
The agreement was reached just days before other migration reforms of the bloc are due to take effect on June 12.
