02.03.2026 20:02European officials are worried that the large volume of munitions the United States and Israel are using in strikes on Iran could deplete U.S. stockpiles and reduce Washington’s ability to sell weapons to Kyiv.
Bloomberg reported this, citing sources.
“According to sources familiar with the discussions, European officials are concerned that the large quantity of munitions used by the U.S. and Israel in strikes on Iran could affect American inventories and Washington’s ability to sell weapons to Ukraine,” the outlet notes.
The sources also told Bloomberg that the EU is currently focused on keeping the United States engaged in the Ukraine peace process and on strengthening its own air defenses.
On March 2, Zelensky said that U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran had not yet affected weapons supplies to Ukraine. He noted that he had not received any signals from Europeans or Americans about problems with deliveries of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems.
Zelensky also said that because of the situation in Iran, the upcoming round of three-way negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States may not take place in Abu Dhabi as planned. Bloomberg wrote that the next round of talks could be held in Turkey. According to Zelensky, the meeting could take place between March 5 and 8, roughly on March 5–6.
