‘Very bad news for us’: how will the replacement of Shoigu with Belousov as the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation affect Ukraine?
13.05.2024 - 05:21“Europe is ‘completely satisfied’ with the presence of Ukrainian refugees, and it will not send them back home.”
Such an opinion was expressed by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Nikolai Lukashuk, on his Facebook page, commenting on the statement of the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, that Ukrainians will be able to stay in Germany forever, especially if they find employment.
“No matter what the leaders of different countries say about the return of our citizens home, everyone is interested in Ukrainians staying with them, integrating as much as possible, working, and paying taxes,” Lukashuk wrote.

In his opinion, “many in Europe hope that after the war, their men will move to our women, rather than women returning home to Ukraine.”
“Sooner or later, the war will end, and we will need to rebuild the country. The question will arise: who will do this? Who will live here? After all, the competition for our citizens in Europe is already huge. European countries will do everything to ensure that our people stay with them forever,” Lukashuk believes.
