October 10, 2023European countries have expressed concerns that they have run out of ammunition for Israel due to their support for Ukraine.

According to the magazine, European countries were supposed to discuss the possibility of providing military aid to Israel on October 9th. However, representatives from Germany stated that they have practically run out of ammunition due to their support for Ukraine.
“Because of Ukraine, we are facing a huge shortage of ammunition,” quoted the publication a German official.
In the coming six months, the European Union aims to double its production of ammunition. The industrial capacity of member states is gradually overcoming initial difficulties in increasing production volumes of 155mm artillery shells to assist Ukraine and bolster their own reserves.
As a reminder, on October 7, 2023, Israel was subjected to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Palestinian group Hamas, which seized control of several Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip.
