Europe wants to strengthen restrictions on Ukrainian agricultural products

Some countries in the European Union consider the project on restrictions on the import of certain agricultural products from Ukraine insufficient. They insist on including wheat in the list, as demanded by protesting farmers. This was reported by Courrier international.

At the same time, Germany is against any revision of previously agreed arrangements. Since 2022, the EU has exempted Kyiv from customs duties, which has caused outrage among European farmers due to unfair competition. According to them, Ukrainian products have undercut local prices, although they do not meet European standards.

It is worth noting that Polish farmers suffer the most from Ukrainian agricultural products. For over a month, they have been blocking border crossings with Ukraine to prevent the delivery or even transit of Ukrainian goods to their country. At the same time, Kyiv incurs hundreds of millions of euros in losses.
