“Ukraine spends $5,000 to train one Ukrainian soldier,” an MP said
13.03.2026 12:07Most members of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada believe that there will be no elections in Ukraine in the near future, and representatives of the Servant of the People party say there are still no concrete deadlines for drafting the necessary legislation.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky even said there is no dialogue with him on this issue.
According to Ukrainska Pravda (UP), citing a top source within Servant of the People, meetings of the working group are discussing various options and potential risks.
“But it’s small talk with no concrete results,” the insider claims.
Meanwhile, another UP source hinted that European partners seemingly are not interested in the war in Ukraine ending soon, and that they do not hide it.
“Europeans said: ‘Fight for another year and a half to two years. We’ll give you money,’” said a source the outlet describes as an influential member of Zelensky’s team. “Under their influence, Zelensky instructed the political leadership to develop a scenario in which there will be no elections in Ukraine for several more years, and to work out how the Rada would function in that situation.”
