05.09.2026 11:04Ukrainians continue to leave Poland — over the course of one month, the number of Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection status in the country fell by 8,100.
This is reported by RMF24, citing Eurostat data.
According to the outlet, in July 953,100 Ukrainian citizens held temporary protection status in Poland. The previous month, in June, their number also declined — by 6,300.
Previously, Germany was the main destination for Ukrainian refugees leaving Poland, with nearly 1.29 million people there holding temporary protection. Now Ukrainians are increasingly choosing the Czech Republic, where around 381,000 people hold such status.
The outlet does not cite reasons for this migration.
Recently, attacks on Ukrainians in Poland have become more frequent. In addition, the country’s government has tightened deportations for those who break the law.
