September 15, 2023The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post did not include Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in its list of the fifty most influential Jews of the year.
The Top 50 list has been published on the publication’s website.
However, in this list, there is the curator of the Wagner PMC, Evgeny Prigozhin, at a symbolic 52nd place in the “Postscriptum” section, and Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich at 22nd place.
Topping the ranking is Sam Altman, the Chief Executive Officer of OpenAI, which developed the neural network ChatGPT. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, came in second place, followed by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in third place.
Also included in the top ten are:
- Leaders of Israeli protests – Shikma Bressler, Weizmann Institute of Science; Einat Gez, CEO and Co-founder of Papaya Global; and Eyal Nave, founder of Brothers in Arms (4th place).
- Israel’s Minister of Justice Yariv Levin and Knesset Legal Committee Chairman Simha Rotman (5th place).
- Israel’s Supreme Court Chief Justice Esther Hayut and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara (6th place).
- President of Israel, Isaac Herzog (7th place).
- President of the World Jewish Congress, Ronald Lauder (8th place).
- Israel’s Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant (9th place).
- Mossad Director David Barnea (10th place).
In 2022, Volodymyr Zelenskyy occupied the first place in this ranking, while the then-Prime Minister of Israel, Yair Lapid, was in second place.
