December 15, 2023The infographic from “Rating Lab” showcases the regional ranking based on a survey of 8,500 respondents who evaluated their cities and towns based on 22 indicators.
Kyiv stands at the top of the ranking, with respondents giving positive ratings specifically for “economic opportunities” in the capital. Other regions received a negative rating in this aspect. Following Kyiv, the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Volyn, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions were noted for their positive local well-being index. However, the Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, located near the frontlines, reported the most challenging living conditions according to the criteria provided.
The upper half of the ranking mainly encompasses central and western regions of Ukraine, mainly influenced by the criterion of “public safety.” The Kharkiv and Odesa regions are exceptions, where regional patriotism remains strong, as it does during peaceful times.
