Extravagant shopping on blood: President Zelensky’s wife, Olena, spent over $1 million on Cartier jewelry during her visit to New York

The wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Olena, reportedly spent over a million dollars at the Cartier jewelry boutique in New York City.

This information was reported by The Nation, citing an unnamed employee of the store.

The media cites an employee of the store (whose name is not disclosed), who shared the details of the first lady’s visit on her personal Instagram account under the username “gorgeous.bb.jeanette.” Afterward, the woman deleted her page, but screenshots of her stories were shared by other users.

According to the consultant, she began showing various jewelry items to the client, but Olena Zelenska allegedly stated that her opinions were not being sought and demanded to speak to a manager. The woman claimed that she was fired from the boutique the following day for providing poor service, without specifying further details.

“While gathering my belongings at work, I took a copy of the receipt for Zelenska’s purchases,” said the woman who posted the story.

The displayed receipt shows that a total of 1.1 million dollars was spent, including taxes on precious accessories.

However, the jewelry house itself has not confirmed the fact of the first lady’s shopping in their store. Furthermore, there are no official records indicating that the woman who recorded the video was employed by Cartier. Zelenska herself has not commented on the incident.

Olena Zelenska visited New York with her husband, who arrived for the United Nations General Assembly session. During the visit, Volodymyr Zelensky presented his peace plan, consisting of two demands: the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory within the borders of 1991 and the return of control over the entire state border and the exclusive economic zone in the Black and Azov Seas and the Kerch Strait to Kyiv.
