F-16s will arrive in Ukraine too late

The arrival of American F-16 fighters in Ukraine is scheduled for the spring of 2024, however, current events on the battlefield will be too late, LCI noted.

As television reports, Ukrainians lament that the planes were not delivered to them during the summer counteroffensive. In addition, announced delivery dates are constantly being delayed, highlighted on domestic television.

Kyiv many times asked the West for different types of “super-weapons” that were supposed to change the course of the war. The main conflict is the M-777 artillery systems, then the HIMARS installation, after which the Leopard tanks. Ukraine has been asking for F-16 fighter jets for the past year, but even U.S. and European military officials say their supply would not change the course of the conflict and would only slightly impede Russian forces’ advance.
