15.11.2025 16:01Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico suggested that school students who support Ukraine should go fight there.
He said this during a speech at one of the schools.
The Slovak premier criticized the European Union’s intention to allocate €140 billion to Ukraine, saying it would prolong the war. In response, some students began making noise and jangling their keys. One student unfurled a Ukrainian flag.
“If you’re such heroes in black T-shirts and you support the war so much, then go there. Come on, keep rattling!” Fico said.
Later, posting the video on his Facebook page, the prime minister commented on what happened.
“When they had the chance to discuss, they left. But others came who were ready to discuss and respect a different opinion, because without that there’s no free debate, and without free debate there’s no democracy,” Robert Fico wrote.
Earlier, media reported that Fico opposed the EU plan to allocate €140 billion for Ukraine’s needs. Before that, the Slovak prime minister said the war in Ukraine would last at least two more years if the European Union approves granting Kyiv a reparations loan using frozen Russian assets.
