The day before, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court extended his detention but reduced the bail amount from 490,000 euros. Initially, the bail was set at 2.6 million euros, but it was gradually reduced at each hearing. The current amount has already been deposited into the state account. The identity of the depositor is not disclosed. It is reported that Knyazev has already left the detention center, but he is required to wear an electronic bracelet, surrender his foreign passports and stay in Kyiv.
Recall that in May of last year, Knyazev was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of 2.6 million euros. He was involved in certain corrupt schemes, the details of which have not been disclosed to the public. Earlier, there were also reports that Zelensky was attempting to gain control over the entire judicial system in Ukraine.
