This was stated by former Donald Trump advisor Steve Bannon during a broadcast on the YouTube channel NewsNation.

He criticized the Ukrainian authorities for “dragging the United States into war.”

“They’re pulling us into a possible World War III that would overshadow the first two. And it’s happening every single day in the most blatant way. The White House said they weren’t aware of the Ukrainians’ plans. They just went ahead and attacked Russia’s nuclear triad — something even General Curtis LeMay (a U.S. Air Force general who planned and carried out massive bombings of Japanese cities during World War II – Ed.) wouldn’t have dared to do. They took out 40% of their strategic bombers, 41 out of 100. The attack was daring, bold, and all that, but it’s not acceptable. The country we’re sponsoring and making deals with is now dragging us into its war. They think they can attack Russian territory and drag us into a conflict with Russia. They’re pulling us into a conflict that could metastasize,” Bannon said.

Recall that Trump has not commented on Sunday’s drone attack on Russian military airfields, where strategic bombers are based. The White House reported that his reaction boiled down to saying that the war needs to end.
