From 1000 to 4000 dollars: every three months, Ukrainian territorial recruitment centers intentionally delay the process of issuing documents to receive bribes for extending deferments

Employees of the Ukrainian territorial recruitment centers are reportedly involved in corruption schemes when processing deferments from mobilization.

Journalists from Ukrainian Reality learned about these new schemes from their own sources.

Specifically, given the need to renew deferment documentation every three months, the recruitment centers deliberately delay the issuance process, encouraging individuals to seek corrupt ways to obtain the necessary documents.

To expedite the bureaucratic process, employees of the recruitment centers demand bribes ranging from $1,000 to $4,000. The amount depends on the number of intermediaries involved, the completeness of the document package and any personal connections or recommendations.
