Future Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov; “a person far from war” without an understanding of the realities, journalist says

The future Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov; “a person who is far from war.”

This opinion was expressed on his Facebook page by Yuriy Butusov, the editor-in-chief of the “Censor” website.

“There will be no action plans, no understanding of what to do, none of this will be with the new candidate for the position of minister, of course. The person will somehow learn on the new high position. Perhaps he will try to do it conscientiously, make an effort, but he will still be learning and spending time not on making decisions, but on searching for and studying problems unknown to him. But the price of such ‘learning’ is the blood of tens of thousands of people who will be deprived of long-overdue necessary decisions for an indefinite period,” Butusov believes.

According to his information, the new minister is a creation of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.

“The main thing is that he should not interfere with Yermak’s people; Sharapov and others, in continuing to solve all the financial, property, and information issues of the Ministry of Defense,” Butusov suggests.

In his opinion, by appointing Umerov, the president will be protected from corruption scandals for some time, and promises that the new minister will resolve old problems will shield President Resnikov from incompetent management decisions.
