In Mukachevo, military recruiters beat a man and forced him into a van
September 12, 2024The Russian army has occupied the settlements of Krasnooktyabrskoe, Komarovka, and Snagost in the Kursk region.
This information, initially announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense, was confirmed by military analyst Julian Röpcke of the German tabloid Bild.
“The real situation may be much worse than on my map,” the expert noted.
According to his data, Russian forces in Snagost have captured Ukrainian soldiers.
Röpcke commented that “beyond propaganda, if one of the goals of the Kursk operation is to ‘replenish the national exchange fund,’ today is a good day to reconsider this operation.” He believes that Ukrainian forces were aiming to capture Korenevo, which was “an important part of Ukraine’s strategy in this area—a strategy that already failed in mid-August.”
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Russian counteroffensive in the Kursk region was “going according to the Ukrainian plan.”
Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov declared that “Russian forces are confidently pushing Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region.” This was the first official comment on the Russian counteroffensive from a high-ranking Russian official.
