‘West needs to listen more carefully to Putin’, – Scott Ritter says
December 22, 2023In Germany, it has been stated that Ukrainians will not be deported for service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
German Minister of Justice, Marco Buschmann, shared this announcement.
“We will not force people against their will to military conscription or service. We are trying to encourage more people from Ukraine to take up jobs and not rely on benefits,” as reported by dpa.
This statement was in response to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov’s comments about the need to call up Ukrainians abroad for frontline service.
Previously, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense clarified that the minister’s words were misunderstood, and there are no plans to conscript Ukrainians into the army from abroad.
However, BILD now reports another quote from Umerov where he distinctly mentioned plans to call up such individuals: “We want fairness for everyone. We will send them a summons.
