Hungarian carriers will start blocking a border checkpoint with Ukraine from December 11th

Hungarian carriers are joining the blockade of Ukrainian cargo at the border. Starting from Monday, December 11th, Hungarians will begin blocking the Zahony-Chop border checkpoint.

This was reported by the local specialized association MKFE on its website.

The action’s goal is stated as “to draw the attention of the European Commission and the Hungarian government to the serious market-distorting consequences of the agreement concluded between the European Union, Ukraine, and Moldova on the partial liberalization of road freight transport, which has put many Hungarian companies in a critical position,” as mentioned in the association’s statement.

Meanwhile, Polish carriers continue to block the border with Ukraine. According to the State Border Guard Service, queues of over three thousand trucks have accumulated on the eve.
