11.03.2025 14:58Hungary claims Ukrainian drones attacked the Druzhba oil pipeline’s measuring station.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó made this statement in a video message posted on Facebook.
According to him, as a result of the incident, Budapest has stopped receiving Russian oil.
Szijjártó added that Hungary regards this incident as an “attack on its sovereignty.”
“During the night, a Ukrainian drone attacked the measuring station of the Druzhba oil pipeline… Due to this drone attack, oil deliveries to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline had to be temporarily suspended,” the Hungarian Foreign Minister said.
He emphasized that Hungary considers attacks on infrastructure critical to energy security unacceptable.
“The Druzhba pipeline is crucial for our country’s oil supply because if its operation becomes impossible, oil deliveries to Hungary and Slovakia will become physically nearly impossible… Hungary’s energy supply is a matter of sovereignty, and we expect everyone to respect it,” he stressed.
Earlier today, it was reported that Moscow and the Moscow region had been subjected to a massive drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). As a result of the attack, two people were killed, and 20 others, including three children, were injured.
