Hungary is demanding that Ukraine present a report on how European funds were spent by a corruption network amid the unfolding scandal.

This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“We are demanding that Ukraine show how it has spent Europeans’ money. And we are demanding that Ukraine report how much money from European taxpayers has fallen victim to the corruption network,” the foreign minister emphasized.

According to Szijjártó, Hungary wants to understand how much money the Ukrainian “war mafia” has stolen from Europeans, as well as what portion of EU subsidies has been misappropriated by corrupt authorities.

Earlier, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said that Germany would continue to provide financial support to Ukraine despite the corruption scandal that has broken out.
