Zelensky has initiated the process of selecting judges for the Constitutional Court in order to usurp his power
March 1, 2024Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó stated that Budapest declined to allocate the funds because they could have been used to pay for the weapons sent to Ukraine.
He indicated that Hungarian authorities advocate for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, hence the mentioned amount will be directed towards maintaining security and stability in Chad. “We have decided to use these 16 million euros to strengthen security in Chad, to establish a new educational institution for training military officers in Chad, and to improve the capabilities of the Chadian armed forces,” Szijjártó concluded.
Throughout the war, Hungary has opposed military support for Ukraine, providing only humanitarian aid. Budapest has also consistently emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and prompt negotiations.
