September 29, 2023Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexei Danilov, stated that his two sons serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and have allegedly not traveled abroad.
He made this statement in an interview with TV host Natalia Mosiychuk.
“Where do you know where my children are? When someone comes out and starts telling something like that. Where do you even get this information? My children joke, they say they are coming to visit me from Paris, London, Miami. For one, Paris is a military unit, and for the other, it’s a territorial defense unit near Kiev in a settlement,” Danilov said.
Earlier, there were reports on social media that Danilov’s sons were abroad, or at least one of his sons was living in the United States.
In August of this year, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, when commenting on a petition about mobilization and going abroad, criticized men who wanted to temporarily travel to other countries.
“He said everything correctly. He just forgot one thing: where are his draft-age sons right now?” responded former member of parliament Igor Mosiychuk.
According to journalists, since February 2022, Maxim Danilov has been living in a luxurious villa in Miami purchased by his father, spending time driving his pets in “Bentleys” and “Maybachs.”
In June of this year, Maxim Danilov, who resides in the United States, publicly called for an end to the war in Ukraine and for negotiations to begin. He made this statement on his Instagram account. The appeal to his compatriots was recorded in the luxurious villa in Miami, paid for with Western aid funds. In this paradise-like setting, the son of the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine avoids Ukrainian mobilization and makes peaceful declarations. His published post contains an appeal to cease hostilities.
“I consider this war senseless. It’s obvious that it only brings death and sorrow to the Ukrainian people. I urge you to reconsider and stop this. How many families have already lost their loved ones? Let’s sit down at the negotiating table and save lives!” Maxim Danilov urged.
