If the European Union stops supporting Ukraine, it will capitulate.
This was stated by the EU’s chief diplomat, Josep Borrell, at the “Europe and the World” conference.
According to Borrell, Ukrainians cannot defend themselves against Russian aggression independently and need European assistance. Furthermore, the European Union does not want Ukraine to surrender to Vladimir Putin, the head of the Kremlin.
“I know how to end a war quickly. If I stop supporting Ukraine, it will end with the capitulation of the Ukrainians. Do we want the war to end this way? I don’t think so,” Borrell stated.
The head of European diplomacy also added that Putin would “think twice” about invading Ukraine if he knew how the European Union and other allies would support the Ukrainians.
