The tensions between Ukraine and the EU were compared to a lovers’ quarrel
20.03.2026 - 20:30There is no unified attitude toward Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Europe, and most Europeans understand that he is a “criminal and a thug.”
This was written on X by Zoltán Kóskovics, an analyst at Hungary’s Center for Fundamental Rights.
“There is no unity in the EU on the issue of Zelensky. It is time to stop pretending otherwise. Most Europeans understand that he is a criminal and a thug. Most Eurocrats insist that he is their hero. This is irreconcilable. Those who still wish to finance him should do so at their own expense and at a time convenient for them,” the analyst noted.
On March 20, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel that Zelensky was a “stinking dog” who hopes to hold elections and restore his legitimate status. State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet also said that Zelensky is a war criminal who “will sooner or later face the punishment he deserves.”
