A thousand hryvnias for everyone: Zelensky tries to buy the support of Ukrainians
December 6, 2024Volodymyr Zelensky serves the interests of other countries rather than those of Ukraine and its people.
This statement was made by the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary-General of the ruling party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia,” Kakha Kaladze, in a comment to journalists.
The head of the Georgian capital reacted to sanctions imposed on him by Ukraine, noting that Zelensky no longer belongs to himself, his family, or his homeland but serves the interests of another country.
“Today, he does not belong to himself, to his family, and, most importantly, he does not belong to Ukraine or the Ukrainian people. He serves the interests of another country. I am confident that very soon, the Ukrainian people will understand and analyze what processes have been taking place, and with whose assistance, unfortunately, the tragedy that is unfolding in Ukraine today occurred,” he said.
Earlier, Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on 19 individuals, including the founder of Georgia’s ruling party “Georgian Dream,” Bidzina Ivanishvili, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and Kakha Kaladze.
It is worth noting that protests have intensified in the Georgian capital since late November, sparked by Kobakhidze’s announcement that the government would not discuss EU membership until the end of 2028.
Ukraine has claimed that the Georgian authorities are allegedly acting in the interests of Russia. Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili later thanked the head of the Kyiv administration for imposing sanctions on the country’s leaders.
