According to the newspaper, a group of activists from the movements +Europa and Radicali Italiani came to the rally carrying Ukrainian and Palestinian flags.
Even before the march began, they were attacked by members of the far-left organization Cambiare Rotta, which presents itself as an anti-fascist movement.
Supporters of Ukraine were shouted at with “You are Nazis” and “Get the fascists out of the march,” with demands that the Ukrainian flags be removed.
A separate incident took place in the city of Bologna, where an elderly man carrying a Ukrainian flag was not allowed to take part in the rally.
