Russian army advanced in the Novopavlivka direction and near Kostyantynivka
12.05.2025 08:22In Kharkiv, a Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) officer punched a young man twice during mobilization activities conducted in the city.
The incident was recorded and shared online by eyewitnesses.
The young man was stopped near a drinking water vending machine. One man in military uniform approached him closely and punched him twice in the stomach while another officer checked his documents. In total, five TRC personnel can be seen in the footage — notably, no police officers were present.
Soon after, the Kharkiv Regional TRC confirmed that one of its staff struck the man during the ID check, adding that an internal investigation had been launched.
At the same time, the TRC stated that the “conflict arose due to provocative behavior” by the civilian, which allegedly escalated into “physical confrontation.” However, the TRC also said it “condemns the conduct of the serviceman who engaged in the altercation.”
Notably, in the video circulating on social media, the civilian does not appear to engage in any illegal behavior, and the recruitment officer punches him twice without physical provocation.
In related news, media reports recently claimed that relatives of a recruitment officer in the Kharkiv region — allegedly involved in taking bribes from draft dodgers — purchased two new luxury vehicles.
