In Kyiv, for the second time this week, the largest Ukrainian flag was torn apart by the wind

The national flag has torn again in the capital of Ukraine. This incident occurred for the second time this week. Earlier, on November 27, the same flag was ripped by the wind near the “Motherland” monument.

Although it was replaced later, the new flag suffered the same fate. Many social media users even perceived this as symbolic, given Ukraine’s incredibly challenging situation. Just before the war, flagpoles bearing Ukrainian flags fell across the country, including in Kherson, installed in celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence.

The flagpole structure is the largest in Ukraine, standing at almost 90 meters tall and weighing 32 tons. The flag’s dimensions are 16 by 24 meters. It was installed in 2020.
